Awareness DVD
In 2006, SAVI produced a induction training aid in the form of a 15 minute long DVD/Video giving people a brief guide and understanding of vision impairment and combined sight and hearing loss.
The film included visually impaired people and staff from SAVI showing situations and explaining challenges people come across with this disability.
Although it is not intended to replace a training course about visual impairment awareness, it will give your staff more awareness and an interest to learn more. So after seeing this film, you may feel that your staff would benefit from further visual awareness training to help them improve their good quality customer care skills.
This DVD/Video is available for purchase from SAVI for a cost of £55. (Price may differ for charity and non profit making organisations).
